Body of man found floating in a lake – KZN

A body of a man was found this morning in a farm dam along the R56 between Ixopo and Umzimkkulu in KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with the SAPS search and rescue, were called to the scene at 10h00 after a passer-by had spotted the body.

On arrival, search and rescue personnel retrieved the body, which was found a short distance away in the dam.

Once the body had been brought to the banks, paramedics assessed the man and found that he had been dead for some time. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
