Seven dead in KwaZulu-Natal minibus crash
Six women and a man died when a minibus left the road and crashed into a tree in the Ntunjambili Sambaba area of the Ilembe district on Sunday afternoon, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.
KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services (EMS) spokesman Robert Mckenzie said three critically injured people and another five seriously injured people were treated by EMS paramedics and paramedics from a local private ambulance service at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for continued medical care.
The cause of the crash was unknown and police were investigating.
“As KZN EMS, we would like to send our most sincere condolences to the victims’ families and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” Mckenzie said.
