One dead in R102 collision

One person was killed on Saturday night when two bakkies collided head on on the R102  near Frasers.

 

One vehicle caught alight after impact. Both drivers were ejected from their vehicles. One driver was declared on scene by IPSS Medical Rescue. The second driver is in a critical condition, he was treated by IPSS Medical Rescue advanced life support and was put on a ventilator before being transported to a private hospital.

The road remained closed for some hours as the KwaDukuza Fire Department put out the fire and cleared the road.
