Well known owner of locally based Simply Younique Modelling and finishing school  Karen Landman won the Margaret Hirsch Business Woman of the Month award this week.

She received the accolade at the Ilembe Chamber’s monthly Women in Business gathering that took place at the beautiful Kingsley House Guest House and wedding venue in Ballito. Landman, was announced as the November winner for iLembe and goes forward as a finalist in the competition. “All my hard work has paid off!” Said an excited Landman.

She is also an international image consultant, wellness coach and educator, was crowned Mrs. Durban 2013, and was a Mrs. United Nations SA finalist in 2011/2012. Landman also does a large degree of charity work within the community. The function, attended by a wide cross section of women in business in the Ilembe community, was the last to be held this year.  Discussing the ethos of the forum, Ilembe Chamber’s Claire Phillips said networking, exchanging
ideas and attending the well thought out and implemented business courses that the Chamber put together for the local business community, was the best way for women to succeed in business. The Chamber is delighted with the support from  business women in the community,” said Phillips.  The next Ilembe Chamber Business Woman’s function will be held on February 7.
