Last night changed the lives of a group of friends forever.  They were gathered at the Maroupi Wedding Venue for a Braai when four violent men entered the property.  They started firing shots into the air and launching profanities at the party.

Marius Deysel, the owner of the venue shielded the guests from the attackers which turned out to be a fatal decision for him.  One of the criminals shot Marius in the chest and he fell to the ground.  The guests, who were terrified watched Marius bleed to death.  The guests were pushed around and relieved of their valuables.  The criminals continued verbally abusing the guests.

The attackers entered the property by cutting a hole into the electric fence.  The SAPS K9 unit pursued the attackers without success.

Marius, a well-known businessman in the area will be missed by all.
