Ballito rains may seem out of sync but is actually normal

MyBallito has noticed a large number of comments and conversations regarding the “out-of-sync but still very welcome” rainfall.

However after doing some digging we found that the normal rainfall season for Durban and surrounding areas is actually from October until March. This being said our rainfall may have started earlier than October but this is necessary to help reverse the affects of our dry spell “el-nino”.

Below is a small diagram that depicts the annual trend in rainfall for our area.
